The Rundown: The Science Ninja Team are sent to intercept a new mecha while their former backup team joins the enemy.
A new mecha has emerged in the desert and Dr. Nambu dispatches the Science Ninja Team to check it out, but gives them order to not engage the potential threat until it does something. At the same time, the former backup team are going through a trial by fire to secure their place with Katse and Galactor. A trial that will not only test their combat skills, but the level of their ruthlessness.
When Katse is told that the Science Ninja Team is in position, he launches the next part of his plan. A plan that will cause the team to reveal something about the new mecha. Something that could lead to a deadly confrontation beneath the sea.
The Story: Humphries delivers a fun, engaging and thrilling story in this issue. I like the direction this story is taking and the complications the team faces not only from Galactor, but also from their former teammates. There is some great, dark and brutal action throughout the story as well and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: Batista delivers great art throughout the story. I love the visual style of this series and how it brings me back to the animated series.
